A diseased oak tree had to be taken down. The tree was too dangerous to climb for a tree surgeon to work off. So we were called to supply access for the local tree surgeon company, so that they could take the it down top to bottom, bit by bit.
Replacing a chimney flue
Once again partnering other businesses to assist with their work. On this occasion, working with the Sussex Stoveman in replacing a chimney flue.
Even with tight access, there was no need for scaffolding for the work to be carried out.
A cracked chimney flue left unrepaired can wreak havoc on a home’s chimney system,
potentially leading to a dangerous gas leakage seeping into the home.

Working with other businesses
The versatility of our Cherry Picker is shown here again.
Co-working with other businesses, in this case with Adam from The Fire Shop in Hastings.
The Fire Shop required the dropping of a chimney liner for a customer based in Hastings.
This is just one of the many chimney liner jobs we carry out for local businesses.
Power cable restoration after tree fall
This piece of work was an emergency job, to which we were able to respond.
A willow tree had fallen onto the power lines and access was needed using our cherry picker.
Before work started, the power lines had to be switched off, after which the fallen tree was removed.
Cleaning exterior of windmill
We were called again to support the cleaning of windmill in Battle. Using our cherry picker, we work with a local cleaning company. As you can see, the windmill looks outstanding.
If you need this type of work completed to a high standard then contact us and we will liaise with them. If you need just our services to support, we can always accommodate.
Chimney repair
When called out to repair chimney stacks a common problem is eroded pointing. In itself this may not sound too serious, but if neglected it will hasten the onset of more serious problems such as instability, water penetration and even disintegration. In the case with this job loose flaunching needs to be completely hacked off and replaced with a suitable mortar mix, waterproofed and carefully moulded so it slopes outwards to disperse rainwater.
We also repaired the flashing down the side of the chimney with the mortar mix.
House external painting work
We won the contract to repair and paint the windows and door in Hastings, as you can see in photographs exposure to weather and moisture penetration into gaps and cracks contributes to the growth of rot on wooden window frames.
Once rot begins, it can spread quickly, and whole sections of a frame can begin to crumble away. Although the damage may appear beyond repair, you can often make seamless restorations with two-part wood fillers, which contain either epoxy or polyester. These are easy to shape and harder than the wood you’re repairing, however in this case some of the wood was so bad that we had to replace parts with new sound timber, once completed we primed and then painted the front windows and door with two coats of paint to the highest standard.
